The artist
“My art is about connecting fragments to create an evolving story.”

I am Shivani Garg. My art is about connecting fragments to create an evolving story. For me, the first mark on a canvas is the beginning of a journey—where lines, maps, and memories form a visual language reflecting the world around me.

My practice is shaped by curiosity about human life and movement. I see life as an expedition—starting in uncertainty and gradually revealing new directions. Maps serve as a metaphor in my work, representing both physical spaces and the emotional landscapes we navigate.

Every challenge I’ve faced and every new phase has left a mark, transforming into a personal yet universal visual narrative.

My Studio

Where the work begins.

My studio is my universe—a space of complete freedom and discovery. Every time I step inside with a blank canvas, I feel that I am beginning again.

I believe in letting ideas continue their journey rather than forcing an immediate conclusion. The studio gives me the freedom to experiment, make mistakes, and discover the unexpected.

I arrive at the same creative cycle, but never as the same person. Art is an expedition without a fixed destination—and my studio is where that expedition comes alive.
